Sure thing, OS X has a vnc server already built in so switch it on in the G5's sharing preference. You can then screen share from the iMac's network panel in the Finder or by typing in the G5's address into the Screen Sharing app. (The app is hidden in the System/Library/CoreServices)

got a 40gb ipod myself but the shuffle would be great as it only costs �99 for the 1gb version and i could afford to abuse it a bit more ! rather than protecting it to death like my ipod.

I made the switch last year from windumbs, something I should have done years ago. I want to display my new feelings with some desktop photos. I have seen a few O SX vs. win themes, example there was one with the apple logo melting in to the win logo another one had the OS X logo standing on top of the msn butter fly. but for some reason now that I want theme I cant find em! if any one can give me a link to wear I mite find such images defacing the ms logos it would be appreciated

I have the A Jays Four and am not impressed. Muddy sound. Suggest taking a peek at head-fi.org forums. Those boys will set you straight. I suspect they would side with the UE models.
while I also suspect the UE will be the best of the bunch, how long have you used the A Jays? Most higher end headphones have to burn in the drivers, which usually takes several dozen hours, before maximum sound quality is achieved

I just ordered an iMac with SSD + 1TB hard drive. I'm assuming that when Apple builds the system, that they just dump everything onto the SSD. What are the correct steps for moving the home directory from the SSD to the hard drive? My plan is to install all applications on the SSD, but have the data (my user files, iTunes library, photos, media, documents, etc.) on the hard drive.

I just picked up a Sony DSC-V3 for about $450. Helluva camera, normally $700 but I found it cheap online. I highly recommend it, many great features: 7.2MP, Full manual mode, awesome lens with the ability to add other lenses.

nope. headless computers are literally that- normal computers that have been beheaded. the only issue to overcome is how to manage it without a screen to look at (or presumably a keyboard or mouse to input with), and vnc does a great job of that.

I've got a 2007 Aluminium iMac and I've noticed these last few weeks that it is spinning the beach ball a bit more than before and has to have a little think about things when I ask it to do something from time to time.
Time for a spring clean I think. :D
So, can anyone point a tech-savvy person towards some good articles or forum threads on how to get my Mac operating again as it should?
My machine was running Tiger when I bought it and was upgraded to Leopard then Snow Leopard. I've never done a reinstall and to be honest I was hoping I wouldn't have to. I'm 100% comfortable with messing with files, folders, plists and pretty much anything else on the Mac. If I'm honest I'm just looking for a cheat sheet for regaining performance on my machine without having to figure it out for myself... :o

Hi Guys, Im new to the forum but thought its the best place to ask. I have a interview for the role of a Apple Creative this week and just wanted to find out what happens at these event and how to they select the right candidates if we all in one big group?
any heads up would be good.

When you do a group interview, be the most outgoing, talkative and fun loving person possible. Apple wants a go getter not a sheltered person who is afraid to speak up, talk, laugh and crack jokes. If you're afraid to talk in a group setting how are you going to be able to communicate to a customer. My buddy hire's at Apple and fills me in on some of the prospects.
If it's not a group setting it will be a series of 1 on 1 interviews with a majority of the managers. Be friendly, constantly talk highly about yourself and avoid what you lack. If you hit your negatives they stick with the managers. So speak highly don't degrade anyone, interrupt them or anything. Laugh with them and as my wife says "node and smile".

Trueprint, direct printing from your iPad to a networked printer. I used Printopia but this required to be installed on another Mac and your Mac had to always be on in order to print.
