What about the WWDC 2009 videos? They aren't up for sale anymore and they don't appear to be part of the free offerings for registered developers. Can anyone confirm whether or not the 2009 videos were added with the 2010 videos?
Who cares? WWDC 2009 videos are sooo last-year! :D

1) Yes.
2) No, but know, that the TM backup is not an image like CarbonCopyCloner (http://www.bombich.com) or SuperDuper (http://www.shirt-pocket.com/superduper/superduperdescription.html) are capable of doing.
But the OS version on the MBP and the backup should be at least the version the Mac mini comes with, which should be 10.6.6.
Also take a look at rsync or ChronoSync if you want to use both Macs and want to have the data in sync.

I don't know; at the 1st installation (10.3 + 10.3.7 combo + 10.3.8 patch + applications), everything was working untill I red my emails and tried to save as .pdf and try to print a popup of this web page; http://store.dxo.com/login.asp?LID=2.
For the 2nd installation, I did (10.3 + 10.3.7 combo + 10.3.8 patch) but in safe boot mode. So I don't know...
Now I'm still working in safe boot mode.

lots of music stores will buy used CD's off you, We have a few where I live, I think even Media Play buys used CD's... Your not going to get much, but for every few you trade in you could pick up another new CD...

I'm a bit disturbed that you have turned Wifi on and have joined a second network? Presumably the server is also on a wired LAN. Since this is a recent change, it sure looks suspect. Maybe there is some loop so that the system is appearing twice (although BonJour doesn't go across subnets AFAIK).

It IS a reasonable price to protect your 1GB Shuffle. People are protective of their Apple kit, because it is designed so well. They want to preserve the look, even if it costs a little extra. $30 is still way cheaper than replacing your Shuffle because of scuffs and scratches on the case.
And besides, it's blue, to boot... ;)
interesting way of seeing it...
yet, why preserve the pristine look of the shuttle when you will not be able appreciate it with this case on?
and then of course, alu scratches badly, so one would need to buy a case to protect the case. yikes! :)

LABOR has been swept away by strong swings in NSW and Queensland, leaving Australia facing a hung Parliament with both houses to be controlled by independents and a surging Greens party.
Labor and the Coalition each fell short last night of winning the majority 76 seats needed to govern in their own right and last night both sides immediately started wooing the four independents and one Green who secured seats in the House of Representatives

Could be days before we find out whats going to go down!

I'm not saying Maddow isn't biased. I'm saying she's not bad in that she usually uses facts and doesn't cite distorted clips to back her points.
That is a major distinction. I like watching Maddow, she's very on point and no ********, it seems.
(But hey, I'm a commie liberal socialist ***** foreigner.)

The "right" amount is a bit subjective. WinXP requires 1.5GB of space, but you'll also need room for additional hardware drivers, room for temporary space/virtual memory, and room for games. You'll need to consider how much space your games will need. On my 500GB HDD, I partitioned off 100GB. It's not nearly enough for all the games in my library, but it allows me to have several of them installed while running Win 7.
However, I don't think there's a right answer that anyone other than you can provide. Also, read the Bootcamp message and make sure it supports WinXP. I know the 2011 MBPs do not.
Is there an echo in here? :)
Good point about no official support for XP on current Macs--Win 7 only, if I'm not mistaken. Though, if you google around, it seems possible to get most things working. Would be a little easier, I think, on a desktop than a laptop.
Happy computing.

I don't know guys, I'm sold on the Mac Pro; after owning the 2.93 iMac the pro feels much faster, and I'm talking just basic tasks so far. The Pro i went with is the 3.2 quad with a 5870 so although the proc isn't much faster, it is night and day, I'm not sure what does it but i'm definitely happy.

Out of curiosity, why did you use a third party charger? I've done it a few times with other devices, but it's always been with quality, branded chargers (like charging my Kindle with my BlackBerry's charger), but I wouldn't dare do that with my iPad unless I knew it was top quality since so many of those third party chargers, like third party batteries, can damage your equipment.
By the way, I think using a third party charger may have voided your warranty anyway. At least on some devices I'm pretty sure it does.
No way third party chargers void warranty, if it did, we wouldn't have a single Apple device left with any warranty.
Anyway, OP is in luck, as 4.3.1 JB just came out. So he can just restore to that and see if that fixes his problem.

But, if you have mobility in mind you'd need the computer to be a notebook and work with a limited screen size or add an external display .... but then there's the plugging/unplugging all day, files need to be kept in sync...
What's your setup like, one computer or two, how do you use them?
One Macbook Air. No files to keep in sync since I don't have many computers and an external monitor isn't a problem. Of course if Apple knew how to make docks, it would be even easier, but it's not like plugging in 3 wires is sooooo much of a pain.
Having many computers is more of a pain than it's worth.

hi john123,
i saw a post or two from kela after you left
eyelikeart is still one of the top posters
and i hope to hear from an incarnation, at least a more polite one, of spikey
monkeybusiness has not been around for awhile and you were still heavily here when anonymous poster and anonymous coward left the fold
blakespot does not come around much anymore
but it's really great to see you back
i have had to get used to new waves of posters every three months or so, but if you give the new high end contributers a chance, you may find that you like them

Thanks. So, when do they score the bonus points? I only have the base points (481) so far, but shouldve gotten 968 more points.
Hi,
Bonus points normally appear straight away. However, you'll need to complete 10 units with at least an 80% success rate before you will start receiving them. (those first 10 units won't ever receive a bonus)
Anyway, congratulations on your first unit. The bonus points will soon start rolling in!

I can't help you on the 2tb drives, but I do have a 1tb western digital green in mine.
From what I read, some drives need to be throttled to sata 1.5 in order to be recognized. This is done with a jumper on two of the pins next to the sata plug (which pins depends on the drive)
I believe I have my drive jumpered, and I think I had to reformat it once when I put it in because of the large block size.
At any rate, its in there, and it works.
