hey guys, what are you doing for taxation and new year planning for your businesses? This is the first time i will be filing taxes with IRS for my new business... i plan to use turbotax and quickbooks - dont have much activity this year... just want to know how many others are also looking forward to it and what they are doing about it... i know that taxes are not due until mar 15...

almost 120 days...
All PERMS are being processed at Atlanta! hence the pile up!
My friend applied for PERM on April 1st and got approved yesterday.
Just wanted to let the people know who have their perm pending, so they can calculate processing dates.

Apply for CP asap it takes about 6 months from the date of application to get the GC if you are current. In the meanwhile re-assess your situation and apply for the H1-B in the interim you may have a denial but the CP is still in queue and H1-B rejection has no bearing on the CP application. If and when you are alloted the number for the resident status they cannot deny your GC on any other reason but that the company was a fraud or your petition had fraudulent information. If you do not meet the conditions above then your app is in jeopardy. Hope this helps. Good Luck

Good idea Lecter. A bit like remembering to tell your wife how she looks (caution advised) I have no problem with posting comments. I absolutely love to stare at the beautiful images on this site. From my novice perspective, they are just about all in the impressive to brilliant range. I get a lot of inspiration & ideas from you guys. The webmasters stunning sports & concert photography. Paul Popes absolutely knock out, whatever he does stuff. Don & Pressmans outstanding digital darkroom magic (Pressmans Exmoor phots are out of this world) Lecters I WANT TO BE THERE RIGHT NOW! phots. Bob Gleasons super sports images & across the board versatility. I particularly take note of Bobs stuff because I know he hasn't been shooting that long, so his learning curve has been pretty meteoric.

Hi All,
I was sponsored by Company A. Also they are sponsoring my GC. I have a pending i-485 since my PD is Nov2006.
Company B has bought Company A. What should I do now?
1) Do I have to ask them to file a fresh H1?
2) how would the GC process be transfered to the new company that took over?
I asked the greedy owner of company A (my so called sponsorer, but as usual I paid for all the expenses), he said there is no problem with regards to my immigration status.
Can someone shed some light on this scenario?

I haven't yet printed out the form, however, the following page should help you. It is my understanding that you would be able to save the form locally in a format that can be opened only through the Department of State's website. Once you have completed the form, you would be able to print it out. Please check this site for further queries:

My Wife got RFE on EAD, asking her to schedule an appointment for biometrics. There is no scuch thing that we could sehedule biometrics. We took an infopass appointment, USCIS officer she understood the issue and aimmediately gave an apponitment for biometrics.
Inconsistent RFE are issued by USICS these days. Take infopass appointment, go to the field office with all the documents and hope they would help you.

My wife has ITIN till last year and we filed jointly. This year she has a social security number and we filed using social security number. Return was rejected by IRS saying that my wife's last year's AGI is wrong. Has anyone run into this ? What was the resolution ?
This happened to me as well. The efile will fail because of the switch from ITIN to SSN. I then did not efile my taxes instead mailed it to the IRS. Next year you should be able to efile since the record is straight with the IRS.

this is a very good idea..but theres only one problem..we had gone to a blood donation drive to give blood..but were not allowed to because they do not take blood from people who have visited third world countries like India in the past 3 yrs.

For degree evaulation , pls visit AERC web site at www.aerc-eval.com/ There are other agencies as well that do these evaluations.
After that take CBEST, if you clear the exam, apply for admission to a credentail program. It will take about 50-60 credit hrs to complete the program. It will include about 4 months of teaching a 2 different schools which is called as directed teaching.Also you need to clear a battery of 3 exams called CSET which establishes subject matter competency in the subject credential you are working on. After that you apply to the Commission of Teacher Credentialing at the state capital and you get your certificate. Depending on haw fast you go, it could take any where between 2 years to 3.5 yrs to finish the program. Jobs are plenty in areas of Math, Physics for sure. Schools look for delivery style and communication skills a lot.
Take a look at your time left on H1B , make sure that ur wife can complete the program within your 6 year of H1B else she would not be able to convert from H4 to H1 unless you get your GC or EAD. Pls email me if you have any additional questions.
Salary is so-so about 50 K starting in CA, but good thing is that you work for only 9.5 months and your vacation and schedule could sync with that of kids and you could spend a good amount of time with kids unlike the other 8-5 jobs...!

I don't agree with what mbawa2574 has to say,but I certainly disagree banning mbawa for expressing views. I think, mbawa2574 is well within limits of posting anything that could hurt IV image/goals. ( On this thread, I mean).
What's the damage caused to your effort?( apart from deleting threads )
I'd rather help channel his thoughts and energies in a direction that helps IV than ban him.
