Correct! One can only file EAD or AP when applying for I-485 when dates are current or after getting I-485 notice.
But you cannot apply for first EAD/AP before applying for 485, correct? I would be surprised if we can apply for EAD/AP just after LC or 140 approval and when dates are not current for 485.

Should this not come from USCIS rather than coming from AILA? I would think this should be a press release or "news" on the USCIS website if they are starting this pilot.
Are we supposed to be worried about sending this email since someone has got access to the AILA letter and posted it here in IV?

Do you have a valid AP?
If not, how is it possible to enter the country?
It seems to be a complicated situation. What status are you in now? Dont you have an AP/EAD? Is it expired? Please provide more details here and also if you obtain any legal advice post that here also so that others know.

While eating dinner last night, I noticed a pitcher and glasses set in our china cabinet and decided to try a studio shot. I used one of my wife's black dresses, hung from the light fixture over our dining room table, as a backdrop. The glasses are sitting on a lens and various bowls and cups to raise them to the levels I wanted. I used white poster board on either side to reflect some light. Light source is a single flash unit bounced off of the ceiling. Thoughts on what I could do to make the shot better, aside from spending $2,000 to buy studio lighting equipment?

hi dil_ip,
Did your wife get your back on to H4 visa from H1? What was the procedure that you went with? I also am on H1 in the US and want to move back to H4. I plan to go to mexico and re-enter the US with my previous H4, which is valid till mid 2010. Is there any problem at the port of entry?

You can file until Aug 16 .However from July 30 , you have to pay new feess..Better apply before July 30 and contribute to IV
After July 30th, you have to pay the higher fee, but you will get free AP/EADs for the entire duration until adjudication.
So, it's up to you (and whoever is paying for ur EADs).. you can decide appropriately.

Write a letter to the employer explaining that you need to get paid. Attach a copy of the timesheets and all other documets for proof. Send this via registered mail. Give him some time to respond, if he doesn't, then file a complaint with DOL.

I was working for a company based in Michigan run by an Indian. This person did not pay me my last month salary. He does not pick up his phone or respond to my email. Wam4Wam, can you call up your senator's office and speak to the immigration liaision? Explain to him that when you sent the fax to them, you had asked for considering pro immigrant legislation for legal immigrants.
You can ask the liaision for a meeting too. We have all the necessary resources you need for such a meeting on our resources website. The CA team has been successfully using these resources. And please update this thread too so that others may learn from you

I was working once for small company as only employee. I remember attorney mentioned not to go to Canada and said best would be Delhi. I went to India during that period but I already had valid H1 stamped from previous company so I didn't get stamping of new visa. But that was in 2001, I am sure lot of rules and practices have changed since then, check with someone who went recently.
