I'm wondering if you guys think AT&T stores will have long lines of people waiting to get the 4 when it's out for everyone on June 29th? You think it will be like launch day - i.e. you recommend camping out?

Clearly ISO (a measure of film sensitivity), although conceptually similar, is a bit of a misnomer when it comes to digital. Wouldn't a more appropriate term be something like "Gain Factor"?
I would think this would be an easier concept to grasp for newcomers to DSLRs, especially when trying to understand the trade-off between gain and noise.

It's still beats the pants off anything windows...we're just used to everything working so well it's easy to critique.
That's really my point. Apple has set the bar high for itself. If I bought a Windows CE phone, I'd expect to have problems. But few Apple products in the last decade have had so many highly publicized issues as iPhone 4. Notice there isn't much press about iPhone 3GS issues or iPad issues or Mac Mini issues. Apple usually produces produces with great usability and high reliability. Maybe I've just gotten spoiled over the years....

The issue is I have Best Buy credit and I need to know what to get. Is the Samsung going to be more powerful then the iMac refresh on Tuesday. I know there are differences between laptop and desktop systems but am trying to decide which to go.

A big problem with the big megapixels is the amount of storage they take on your phone. You cannot adjust the megapixel size down with a phone camera like you can with a point & shoot camera.
I think you can adjust the resolution on Windows Phone 7.

okay, so i get an error from folding on my mac pro. looking at the log file, it gets done folding, or at 99%, and then it gets an error, and quits that work unit and downloads another unit, and starts with that one.
anyone ever run into this before?
also, i have 2 different Leopard installations on 2 different hard drives in the mac. would this possibly mess something up?

on the '11 models... would bootcamp be good on a 13'' (either model)? and how much of a difference would there be in a 15'' (low end)?

Bootcamp isn't virtualisation, aslong as the drivers are good it should be the same/very similiar to a equal spec PC.

1) Why have you not told us what your device is? At least the class of device? This could at least get us to the point of knowing if we should expect the OS to have a generic HID divice driver for this class of device. If there is no generic class driver, then: yes, absolutely you will need to create a device driver (and no, it is not going to be easy).
Unless you ask good questions, you should expect nothing but bad answers.
2) This is not the sort of forum where you should expect to find people who can write drivers. This is a user-level forum. If you need help writing device drivers, then your best bet (short of paying someone who knows how to write device drivers on the Mac) is going to be on Apple's Darwin-drivers list (http://lists.apple.com/mailman/listinfo/darwin-drivers).

The iPhone 4 was a failure at launch. The antenna is broken. It drops Internet connections and calls if held a certain. The glass claiming to be strong is weak sauce and the only good things on the phone are the cameras and screen.*

Would have been there, but.... Had to do the family thing and so far, the last OS is working fine for us. It's about a 2 hour drive for me to Penn, if it were Quail Springs, I might have made the trip.
I was in Penn last weekend just to pick up 2 things. Took about 30 minutes just to get someone to scan so I could pay. So many people in there just to play with stuff with no intentions on buying, and taking up employee's time, makes me mad.
I'm waiting to hear how good the new OS really is. Is it worth buying? I'm still running 2 G4's and don't know if the upgrade will really help me.
