Any kind of full time employment with monetary gains is not allowed on h4 status. You can legally go to university or any community college full time, and take up any kind of training programs or voluntary work with no remuneration. Also, passive investment such as stocks/ bonds etc is OK.
If your spouse's GC process reaches the 485/EAD stage, then you can get work authorization with EAD to do any kind of work full time or part time. Without EAD, you need some other work authorization such as H1 / L1 visa to work legally..

Yes I changed job and my new company did the EB2 filing. It took roughly 9 months from starting the Ad, recruitment efforts, filing and approval.

My wife is completing 6 years on H1 visa in Sept 07. She is planning to join school which will isssue her I-20. The school starts in Aug07 and she need to go to India for 2 weeks in Nov 07.
Can she get H4 stamped from canada on my H1B, so that she do not face F1 rejection in india?

Just food for thought. At this time there are 28600 EB1 visas. Most in the EB1 category are current or pretty close to it.
As a matter of fact, EB-1 annual limit = 28.6% of 140K = 40,040 and it has been current for a while.

I think after reading your case, it is just a standard operating procedure. Not sure why you thought of it as being punished unless some dmv official behaved unprofessionally or rudely with you . I suggest you wait for sometime and you will definitely get your license renewed back.

Getting the driver's license is not the problem, I know it will come. Problem here is why I cannot drive outside SC for up to 60 days waiting for the DL card? Remember I've to surrender my old SC license. This is serious limitation to my work, e.g. I need to go to Atlanta on 08/19 and I cannot drive there.

I applied AP Feb 3 2011 for my wife and i got approved mail and also checked website saying it was approved.

She need to have AP in hand before leaving the country. I would suggest to take an INFOPASS and go the local office tell them the situation, they should be able to give you the AP there.

Hopefully you have a attorney, sometimes they have more access or just clout more than what we have, so my suggestion would be to get in touch with an attorney.

This was big surprize to me. Mine and my spuse had hard LUD on our I485 with the current status as :Notice Returned as Undeliverable. There wer no other updates or status change or approval or denial or soft LUD etc.
The most surpising to me that both of us received the Finger Printing notices on our new address just a month ago.
This is really frustrating.
When I called up the 800 number the lady said just ignore this status as this is some computer glitch.
Dont know what to do just believe her or try to do something else?

Dude I agree that we need Visa recapture but and additional 50K visas a year for EB will go a long way as well....

I don't agree with what mbawa2574 has to say,but I certainly disagree banning mbawa for expressing views. I think, mbawa2574 is well within limits of posting anything that could hurt IV image/goals. ( On this thread, I mean).
What's the damage caused to your effort?( apart from deleting threads )
I'd rather help channel his thoughts and energies in a direction that helps IV than ban him.

I'm sure you understand by now that IV is made of just you, me and bunch of other anonymous keyboard monkeys.

Have you tried asking Numbersusa, Programmers Guild and your employer about changing leadership? What makes this organization any different? Just because anyone can post anything on IV website to get visibility on the homepage, its not ok to abuse the resources of the organization. We did not create IV to promote democracy or freedom of expression, there are ample of other sites to promote democracy and freedom of expression, you are free to use those resource at your liking. IV website is for a single purpose of achieving the goals we have set for the organization. You can find our goals on the website. And anything that conflicts with our goal will be removed. Its easy to use terms like democracy, freedom of expression etc to defend actions that malign the good effort put in by others. To make things clear, IV's objective is not to promote or preserve democracy/freedom of expression. We have a goal to achieve and we will not deter from our goal, whatever it takes.
