Hello, hope someone can shed some light on this problem, think its terminal though.
I was using my macbook (2007 mid) and was all fine, i went back a couple of days later, took it out of my bag and booted it up to find a large black area on the screen to the right with a large white square under it. The whole of this area is dead, the rest of the screen is fine. How has this happened whilst in the bag, looks to me like a right hand thumb my be the culprit but i would never hold my mac like this.
Any help would be great.
Cheers
Paul
Looks like trauma to the screen. What else was in the bag? What kidn of bag?

I may not agree with all of his policies, but Prime Minister Stephen Harper is friggin' cool.
Check out this performance at the Conservative caucus Christmas party in Ottawa on Wednesday night:

The camera work sucks big time, but gets better after a few minutes. It's a long video, so check out the parts at 9:40, 13:00, and 17:50.
Hopefully the video in the link works for you.... it worked for me, and I'm in the US.
Also, from 2009: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxJm6wod-eg

Title says it all. I'm looking for a good password storage app that will sync effortlessly between my iPhone 4 and MacBook Pro.
The cheaper the better. I don't need anything fancy, just something that works.

Windows is a hugely popular, current platform while PowerPC has been dwindling in use and support since 2006. The market for a PowerPC emulation environment would be tiny yet possibly more complex than Parallels or VMWare.
True dat. Oh well. Third party companies will recode their products when Lion is released. I'm eager for the next beta, it'll be a month this Thursday.

I keep forgetting about MRoogle (http://mroogle.edesignuk.com/) and end up using Google.
They're one and the same. MRoogle (http://mroogle.edesignuk.com/) is nothing more than a Google search with "site:forums.macrumors.com" added to the search terms, to restrict the Google search to the forum.

i have a similar issue, but i thought it was the Quadro 4000's fan. i might be wrong, it could be the Mac Pro fans. but anyhow, yes, i hear the fans all day long. not sure what causes this. i do know that the Quadro 4000 runs very hot.
I'm pretty sure it's the quadro fans, I have noticed this on my work computer, after I installed this card as well.

Hope there will be an app coming out in Ipad 2 in those days to detect radioactivity before fallout carried by wind reach west coast.

Why do you want to disable it? Why can't you turn it off ( :apple: > Shut Down)?

Hi all,
Is that really necessary to get TRIM enabled on MBA SSD? I just got new MBA ultimate that comes with Samsung SSD.
Thanks.

I'm new to the JB world and so far I'm loving it on my iPhone for MiWi tethering, LockInfo, and themes.
However, I cannot think of a reason to JB my iPad as well besides themes. I figured I'd ask you pros your JB functions you use daily for your iPad.
Thanks ahead of time :)

tiger woods has horrible wiimote detection - I am glad i only rented it
Not really. It has a few quirks that show up about 2% of the time, which is unexescusable on EA's part, but the games controls overall are quite good. It takes more time to learn than just a rental, just like Madden Wii.

I've got a number of perl programs I run fairly constantly. Right now I open up a tab in terminal and navigate to the directory and launch each one (one by one).
But ideally I'd love to setup up some sort of bash program or something that would launch the all the perl programs just by running that one bash program.
Is that possible? And is it possible to do that so it opens in tabs? (Or at the minimum new terminal windows?)
Thanks

You want to to play upscaled or you eant it to reencode upscaled?
Both. Mainly playing, but also reencode.
As for playing I would think VLC is technically better because you have dozens of scaling and display options. BUt it all depends on just how much you're upscaling... if you're trying to make 320x240 look like 720p you're going to be disappointed.
Can you explain me those settings? What to choose for best quality in up scaling and display?

Since the 2nd computer is the admin, that user will be able to look at the logs on the TC. Pretty much every router keeps a log of the URLs accessed by each computer.
So the admin will pretty much be able to see which websites you've visited. Plus the logs are timestamped.

Awesome. So she will be able to see my posts in this forum then? Haha. Dang, oh well. Thank you to everyone for the info and help! Great forum here.
