Something is up on your end, Parallels six is working fine on my iMac i3 with only 4GB of ram, and your macbook pro is way more powerful. Maybe you need to increase the resources you're giving to the virtual machines?

Well I finally decided to take the Mini to the Genius Bar and see what they had to say about the noise coming from the Superdrive on some of these bad discs.
As soon as he heard it he said we'll replace the Superdrive. That was Saturday. Got a call today to come and pick it up. Got it and now at home and ripping Cars which was one of the noisy discs from before and........
Whisper quiet!!!! I couldn't even hear the Superdrive spin up!!! So happy I took it in, and now with most my DVD collection behind me I won't have a worn out drive when all finished.

Well, the technicle side is flawless as it validates as perfect XHTML 1.1 along with CSS. Yay! The design is also nice and relaxing, the colors are easy on the eyes, and I have seen no bugs in Firefox 1.5 RC3. Double yay!

I've structured the WorldEdit talk page to allow for nominations. This allows everyone (including unregistered users) to make them. Tuesday sounds good to me, although we might have to delay it a bit this week.

Lineup reaches Blenz (Dunsmuir) from the side entrance to the mall (like the iPhone 4 launch). The store was packed, but they are pushing everyone out at 3:00pm.

I'll be snotty for a moment...
Designers can get overly focused in on fonts. I know, because I was once. I have spent waaay too many hours searching through font libraries, trying to find the perfect typeface for this project or that. All the while creating crappy design because I wasn't paying enough attention to the hierarchy of information, letter spacing, kerning, leading, composition, scale, contrast, rhythm, color scheme, negative space, photo selection, or photo color correction. There are so many more important aspects of design than font choice. I could design with nothing more than Helvetica and still create compelling design.
My suggestion... get yourself a handful of workhorse typefaces, and work on those other aspects of design. It will do far more for your work than the latest font ever could.
