You are right. These certifications may add some value when applying for H1B Visa but not for GC Processing with USCIS. You can just ignore those certifications....
I would like to clarify one thing....
Are these Certifications from Sun Microsystems, Oracle and IBM consider as supporting documents for 4 year degree or equivalent to any educational qualifications or experience?
I mean, people are doing these certifications even with out a job or while on bench....
I do not want to degrade or project these certifications in low profile or so, I do know the value of these certifications while searching for a job, but could not understand how they will help you in education or experience with USCIS.
Correct me if I am wrong.....

My H1B visa stamp has expired, but I have the approval papers extending my H1B until Jan 2011. My company filed for bankruptcy. Another company bought parts of my company (not the entire company) in which I work. So I got absorbed by the buyer.
What happens to my visa? Does the new company have to file for an amended petition? If so, how long does that take?
I have to travel to India in two months. If they file the petition and I travel out of the country before I get the approval, will that be safe?

If you apply in EB2 through your employer, you will be stuck with the same employer till the I-485 stage, that is when you will get EAD card, which would allow you to change employer under AC21 rule, but your new jobs must have the same job description.
The second option is more appealing, to wait till your US born child is 21 years, and then your child can apply for you in family based.
Either way it will take the same time :-), if you apply in Eb2 category now, it will take 20-25 years for your green card. If you wait for your daughter to get 21 years, then also it will take the same time.
Here is what Bill Gates said last year testifying to the congress -
"And so if you talk to a student who's in school today, going to graduate in June, they're seeing that they cannot apply until they get their degree, and by the time they get their degree, all those visas are gone. If somebody is here on an H1-B, if you're from India, say, with a bachelor's degree, the current backlog would have you wait decades before you could get a green card, and during that time your family can't work, there are limits in terms of how you can change your job. There was one calculation done that the fastest way you'd get a green card is to have a child who becomes a United States citizen, and then your child sponsors you to become a U.S. citizen, and that's because there's more than 21 years in some of these backlogs."

I think you missed Danonline on a very important point; his French citizenship. I assume he is ROW and hope he isn't born in visa retrogressed countries.
I think Dan should be fine in getting his PR in couple of years and NOT 20-25 years as you mentioned earlier.

Context is very important here. IRS has its own rules, USCIS has got its own and then universities have their own set of rules. I have had a lot of fight with university to get in-state tution fee on H-4 visa. So please explain your context and I can shed some more light on this topic (based on my own experience).

Sounds like you found the "sensor", really a filter or glass over the sensor. When you remove the lens, you see the mirror. Put the camera in bulb mode and lock the shutter open, and that's the "sensor". Ensure that you have plenty of battery power (or are hooked up to the AC/DC adapter) before you stick anything into the sensor cavity. If the shutter closes while you have something in the cavity, the shutter will break, and you will need an expensive repair.
I have to clean my cameras often, since I shoot outdoors and change lenses many times a day. I have found that compressed air takes care of most problems, and a $10 bulb, like Mark mentioned, is the best way to go for field work. If you are willing to put a little more $$ into it, get an oil-less diaphragm compressor for an airbrush, ~$100. The other nice thing about air is that you don't put anything in the shutter cavity.
DO NOT use "canned air", these little cans with compressed air in them. They contain isobutane and other hydrocarbon propellants which can "spit" out of the can and leave spots on the sensor that will require a liquid cleaning to remove.
Liquid cleaning is more complicated. The Eclipse solution is (I have heard, I don't use it...) clean methanol. A lot of people use these with 'pec' pads with success. I use clean, high grade isopropanol, electronics swabs, and follow up with distilled DI water and the air compressor. This is a delicate process that I don't recommend experimenting with. If you want to learn how to do this, find someone who is willing to tech you using his camera. ;) Mark probably gets his money's worth from the camera shop. The only issue is finding a good shop.

I filed my EB3 LC Substitution I-140 with the copy of the labor. It has been pending since June 2006.
Mine is not labor substitution though. My lawyer never received the original hardcopy of the labor certification.

Why should Indian leader plead for your green card? This is a US immigration issue. US has to base its immigration based on its own interests. Don't get me wrong, even i am waiting for my Green Card. But i don't expect Indian Prime minister to work for my Green Card.
As a Indian Citizen NRI you are talking about having the right to ask the Prime Minister. Tomorrow you are probably willing to take the US citizenship too. You cannot just look at your personal needs and expect Indian PM to help you become an American Citizen. All i am trying to say is don't bring down the Indian PM just for your need to get a GC.
How come Mexican president doing Illegal immigration stuff. Indian PM can at least talk about waiting people, family reunion and backlogs.

My PD was Dec 4, 2004. EB2. Exactly 5 years from PD and over 10 years from first entry to US. Getting stuck in the BEC backlog and my wife getting stuck in India with 221(g) were among my most painful experiences through the journey. And not being able to take a fabulous offer at double my salary in 2007 hurt too.

gk_2000, how far is your place from the towers? did you try Terk HDTVa? you did not get any signal at all? or was it blurry/snowy images?
Others, there is another IPTV provider tv desi and they are also using the same box (Neulion) as Dish Network ..so may be quality would be good....
