I've always heard of the 4-pin being referred to as iLink on Sony devices or mini firewire everywhere else.
I thought FW400 and 800 refer to the speed, so 600 makes no sense to me at all.
Me too, I never heard of FW600 for the 6-pin port.
The 4-pin port is often referred to as DV-IN or DV-OUT too.

It's not the number of Megapixels, but the sensor size. Jamming that many MPs into a tiny sensor will not give you a good camera

On iTunes, using the search function in iMix and here's my dilemna. Always wanted a search to find an iMix, and now that I can do that. i don't know what to search for. My first search for an iMix, I type the word "song".:confused:

a friend asked me to post this.
What he needs to do is have photoshop open up a text file that contains lines of file names, eg 2039-299434322.jpeg and have it create and save dummy files out of those filenames in a certain folder.
From what i gathered the purpose is to have the files ready so he can then find the ones he wants to put stuff into and edit them.
He wants to script this because there will be lots of files to create.
Any thoughts/ideas?

I know I'm bumping a slightly old post, but I'm in the exact same position as you! I really wanted to get Black to for gaming nostalgia, but I read online that they are planning on a 3D pokemon title, and that game won't work on the DSi. So, I think I've decided to just go and get a 3DS--
Nope. There have been no "official" rumours of a 3DS Pokemon game in the style of Black/White (and the other main series games). Of course the next one will be out on the 3DS. But there have been no rumours surfacing yet and it'll be at least 1 year until we see a new game, with the average being 3-4 years for a new title.
Of course there's always a kid on Youtube who says his uncle Jed works for Game Freak and knows all about the next game ;)

In general, FileVault is useless, IMHO. You are better off using Disk Utility to create a password protected Disk Image and storing personal information there.
As for optimizing - I don't know if you can force it to optimize, but it should ask you again if you logout/shutdown.

Stating that you are the least confident about networking, I would suggest that you try it out before going into the woods - you can disconnect your mac from the Internet for a while or shut down your router / Internet box.
Don't forget to enable web sharing to start your local web server and write a simple test page.
Then try reaching that with your iPhone/iPad.

The overlay is bugging me big time.
I've un installed and re-installed but the overlay (apogee speaker icon and headphone icon) is not there when pressing the mac volume keys on the keyboard.

I read that you have to go to sound in system preferences and change the output to tv once you hook the cord up. Can you confirm that works?
Yeah, that is what my sister did. And that worked for her. It wasn't the Monoprice cable, but one she got at the Apple Store, but I think all those cables will work if you set the audio in the System Preferences.

Well, I wouldn't say it is brutal to the point of being unplayable. The point of the game is to collect these things called "Spectra" in each level. You do this by getting your character to climb higher and explore more of the levels. But you have a limited time to do this. That is where the difficulty comes in. The mechanic of the game is very easy to grasp and pretty easy to master. It is the time limit that gives me the most problems.
It is a very fun game though. I didn't mean to give the wrong impression. The game, as with all of the PixelJunk games, is very fun and has a very unique graphical look and great soundtrack. Easily worth a purchase from the PSN.
Just played around with the demo. It seems fun, I might actually get it. I'm going to sleep on it first though. I tend to make decisions I regret when it's late at night. :p
