Stop whining and get to making the flexible displays that are better than OLED and whatever the "retinal display" is.

These all information which you can share is really very great. I have their skin on my 1st gen iPhone as well as 80GB iPod classic, no issues at all. Cost is $6.99 for the full body skin.

Well all, after many months of tryign to figure out what computer to get I finally got myself a new 17incher. First, thanks to all those who helped me figure out what to do. Secondly I'd like to say that when I was driving the 60 miles hoem from the apple store wiating to open up the computer I was a little nervous that i might have gotten one that is too large for me, and I should have stuck with the 15 incher. Well now I've had the computer home fora few hours, and must say... I absolutely positively made the right choice size wise. This computer is somethign I need for traveling, so its small form make it an easy companion for trips, and I don't need it on a plane so much, so that's fine. Right now I'm playing puzzle pirates writing this and watchign a movie n small mode, and can see most everything. For anyone trying to decide between a 15 ich and a 17 inch, relaly the real estate space on the 17 inch is to die for. I didn't think it'd matter that much to me, but coming from an old 15inch apple flat panle to this, well there's just no comparison. Everything is so nice and open, not cramped at all. Also I'd liek to say that this screen is gorgeous, and whiel I haven't watched a movie on full screen mode, I can't wait to see how it does. I suppose that's all i have for now. Feel free to ask me questions, as I'd love to answer them. I'm so incredibly happy with my computer right now that I don't wanna go to sleep, and would rather tinker around with it all night. Anyway like i said, if you've got questions jsut ask.

I agree 100% with the comments about flash
I despise of flash with all my heart it is horrible
I have seen some really fun stuff coded in flash but I use a Firefox plugin to block flash content so as to avoid some of the nastier animated advertising. I occasionally come across sites that use flash for headings, personally I consider that a really bad idea for a number of reasons (which I won't elaborate).
The best way to learn html is to pick up Eric Meyer's book Eric Meyer on CSS (http://www.ericmeyeroncss.com/). Get yourself a copy and a text editor. If I could do it over again I would definitely choose this route. HTML is actually pretty easy, using it appropriately and confidently, that is the hard part.

The current jb programs aren't as easy as jailbreakme.com. Considering the OP is too lazy to research what's available, the jb programs might require too much effort.
Its not that I'm too lazy to research whats available. I actually have done research on the subject, which raised a number of questions. I'm not an expert at hacking iPad. I also have a job, two kids and not a lot of time to troubleshoot a problem if I mess up my iPad configuration. Apparently you have plenty of time on your hands to make utterly useless comments.

Thats probably the gayest trailer I have ever seen, save for the ending logo.
I was stupid enough to click on the 159MB trailer only to be treated to the lamest, overhyped nothing. I pity the fool who would download the 306MB version.

Only three things come to mind:
1) That you are inadvertently calling mysqli_close somewhere before a query or ping, maybe in one of your includes.
2) You are overwriting $conn somewhere else.
3) Some PHP bug in an older version of PHP perhaps. Are you guys running on CentOS / RHEL? If so I would suggest upgrading to 5.2 from the testing repos and see if that helps.
I could see the close or even possibly an overwrite happening. At the same time, that is kinda what I want to be able to detect with one of the cases mentioned above.
It's a compiled-from-source version of PHP 5.3.5.

Not as big a hassle as yours but I ordered a TV off pixmania (UK) and it came with a Euro plug. Phoned to complain and they sent me an adapter.
Not a big deal but I was a bit miffed that they didnt advertise it as Eur plug. I'm a bit paranoid about having it plugged to an adapter all the time (not sure why!)
Pixmania is owned by DSGi - yes, the dreaded Currys, PC World cowboys!!
I was once going to buy a camera from there because it was so cheap. Thankfully, the 'If it's too good to be true ..." adage sprang to mind didn't go through with it.

Why annoying, because PowerPoint is so lame? You can export Keynote to PowerPoint, or to Flash, or QuickTime, or PDF.
What we really need is a Windows Keynote player downloadable for free off of Apple's website. ...Apple could probably throw one together in a day and iWork sales would skyrocket (not to mention the switching potential of the Windows users watching such a beautiful presentation on their piece of crap :D).

If the stick physically fits, then it won't cause harm.
At best, it'll work great, running the stick out of spec.
At worst, the PC won't boot with the 'wrong' stick in there.
Most likely (all this is assuming a 'wrong' stick,) it will boot, but will boot slower than you want. For example, if it has an 866MHz processor, it might only boot at 650Mhz. (Because, for example, it uses a 133Mhz bus, and you put 100Mhz RAM in, so it would run the processor at only a 100MHz bus, dropping it's speed accordingly.)
Or, with lots of motherboards, the processor speed and RAM speed were independent, so it would run just fine, but the memory would run at the 'lowest common denominator' speed. This is especially true of newer DDR motherboards.
so basically, if the stick fits, and its faster than the memory the computer takes, it will clock down. I dont think that will be the case, the memory is older. I am just going to throw it in. I just dont want to ruin the computer, still need it for school.

What is going on in the software dept at 1 infinite loop?
Not only is this update overdue, but its the only one of Apple's own iPhone apps to even be touched for iOS4 or the iPhone 4.
None of the Apps have been updated to a universal version with iPad support.
Oh, but Find my iPhone was critically important to have out on launch...
It's embarrassing.
I mean, what kind of example does this set for other devs? Apple expects their developers of technically completed products (apps) to be updated asap to support all of the latest features of the latest devices. Yet they themselves have half a dozen critical apps that haven't even been touched?
I agree, Apple knows when they will release a product, there should not be a reason to not have their Apps updated to support a new OS... And they really need to get the iPad department working to keep up as well. Come on Apple give us some updates. ;-)

Has anyone been able to force an apple store to guarantee a Lion O/S upgrade for free with the purchase of a Macbook pro now?
You cannot force apple to do anything.
They have a policy and they adhere to that pretty well. I believe that if you purchase a mac within 2 weeks of the release date you can get a free upgrade.
You'll have to wait longer for a Mac to actually come with Lion preinstalled as apple will need to flush the supply chain of macs with 10.6

I would have thought that Apple still cared about making computers.
Guess we were both wrong.
ever since ipod hit the market they have been more concerned with that market. most of their revenue (correct me if i'm wrong) comes from ipod sales.

i think the biggest hurdle to leap over to run panther, are the graphic card limitations of the older machines. stuff like the cube user switching and expose are going to be cpu and graphic card intensive. do you think those older machines would be able to handle those?

I translated this myself...
----
According to the sources, Bird Electronics has released a notebook computer (laptop), ZeroBeat, which is made out of 'Urethane' foam from 'kick board' materials. By using a mobile internal cooler, the cooling system of this laptop is said to be close to perfect.
----
According to the sources, the soon-to-be-released Powerbook G4 will have a built-in Superdrive and Bluetooth. Also, the design of the machine will not change dramatically, and it will be released as a new Powerbook G4.
----
There. I don't know what 'urethane' or 'kick board' is, so I left that as is. Hope it helps.
The original Sherlock translation was pretty good.
