Export to Quicktime presentation, install Quicktime on PCs.
edit: kayjprod beat me to it.
No actually I did, several posts earlier. ;)
Anyway, very good idea about the Keynote player for Windows. Listen up, Apple!

hmmmm.
would be nice to think that they might introduce a load of new stuff on that monday!
don't know what the actual truth is tho.. can't think of any real reason why they would need to 'close' a part of their website..

It'll be in the morning, 7:30 AM should be fine.
You'd be lucky to get one at that time! The queue will be HUGE. I'm getting there at 3.30am. The iPad launch the first person there was there at 12am.

Wow - Godfather is great.
I played it solidly from 11am on Saturday until 2am on Sunday, hardly pausing for food even. Why would anyone want to play GTA when you can play something similar with a much better plot and characters?

Hi,
I just switched from Windows to a Mac, and the only thing I miss is the way Firefox used to behave. I can't figure out what to do to get a browser I genuinely love.
First of all, Safari. I know a lot of people like it, and I tried to, but I hate it. It sticks and takes a ridiculously long time to load pages. I like the way it looks, the way the tabs function, etc., and could get a along with it just fine if it actually loaded pages swiftly. I have no idea how to fix that or if it's even possible.
Obviously not IE.
Firefox acts up on my mac. Sure, it's just as fast as it was on my PC, but eh. The themes won't skin properly, the extensions I cherished (TBE, for example) don't work properly, and generally it's just a big clunky headache compared to the other applications I've started to get used to. Sure, I miss my gmail notifier and the insanely useful Adblock and Sage RSS, and SuperDrag&Go, but all the other extensions I don't miss at all.
I've just tried Camino, and while it loads pages beautifully, it's not very pretty or very customizable, and the back/forward buttons only work half the time.
My choices seem to be: a sticky nightmare (Safari), a tchotche-filled mac-unfriendly ex flame (Firefox), or fast but user-unfriendly blandness (Camino). I'm really, really unhappy.
Any advice on what I can do to restore my former browsing bliss?

If you have no experience in this type of work, I would suggest using a service like Jotform. Easy, web-based form builder. They host the database. You can embed the from anywhere.

What if its not a MacBook but rather a 5.1 sound systems with wireless speakers. Apple is rumoured to be replacing their boombox, so why not jump to the next tech and also incorporate streaming from AppleTV etc

What kind of movie would you be watching where it would be useful to be hands free? :p
Nice dude. Made me laugh....
They couldn't have designed their own clips? It looks like someone just modded a hat with some supplies from Staples. It's functional I guess, but not very nice looking. And you would think that the magnifying glass so close to your eyes would cause some vision damage with prolonged use.

Raises some very interesting quesitons. Realistically, over the long run yearly updates probably aren't necessary. I don't think we'd reached that point though, but perhaps here we are. Maybe Apple will start updating them on longer, as ready cycles, and naming them something other than the year.

Lance has said he'll retire or has even retired before I think, but coming out of retirement 'just to p*ss them off' is a bit lame.
Well, I don't think he'd go to that much trouble just to taunt the French media...If he does race I think the reason will be because that's what he does, and he doesn't want to stop.
Although, maybe it would be better for him to start competing in other Tours like the Giro d'Italia - he's already put his stamp firmly on the Tour de France.
PS. Don't diss MJ - you run a good chance of being struck down.... ;)
LOL, I never was much of a basketball fan but it was sad to see such a legend fade away like he did - it was just too hard to let go.

showed up at 8. not many in line. the one lady in the orange said that I couldn't get it because I wasn't the primary account name (even though the primary doesn't even use AT&T, it's my dad and he just gets the bill), so I called AT&T and they told apple that they had to sell me one because I am authorized on the account. Everything else went smoothly. I thought that the Starbucks Coffee and water were nice touches for those who had to wait forever outside. I ended up waiting about 1 hr which I didn't think was terrible.
however, I was angered at the fact that I brought my apple in-ear headphones in to get replaced because they stopped working after day 4 of having them (I didn't damage them) and they said, "we don't care about that right now...you'll have to come back after tomorrow." I understand that they are busy, but A) they sold me a faulty product that I want replaced B) I'm a valuable customer C) It's a huge inconvenience for me to return to Easton to take care of it.

The memcpy() function returns a pointer to dest. (http://www.kernel.org/doc/man-pages/online/pages/man3/memcpy.3.html)
That falls under "esoteric knowledge that nobody should ever bother with". Which means it immediately fails a code review, just like someone writing "a + 1 << i" and expecting people to know which operator has higher precedence.

Hi everyone, I've just finished work on a table of comparison for all current Macs, and I'd like to hear any feedback on it. Click here (http://www.nimoll.co.uk/macguide/) to see it.
I plan on doing an 'Upgrade Guide' as well. If anybody has any other ideas, I'd love to hear them!
-Thanks
