Another option if you do not want to go with a USB player or worry about Audio out from a receiver or AV Processor is the NAD PP3i ($199). There are a few others out there, but they are creeping into the $500+ price range. I am looking at this unit for myself so I can plug my turntable into it, use a USB cable to connect to my Mac Mini and rip the albums with the NAD software ($25 extra). It helps with tagging the songs, removing clicks and pops, and exports to various audio files including ALAC, which is what I use.

Have you tried a PRAM and/or SMC reset already?
PRAM/NVRAM has nothing to do with the OP's issue.

SMC might help with some fan, unexpected power-offs or slow performance issues, but not heat-related shutdowns, as the OP described.

i am visiting apps that i bought via itunes and there is no any info there that i bought or not. So, if i format or change my mac then can i restore with that backed up folder?

Premiere will use the other cores, but for me i'd rather 4/6 cores with a higher clock speed and the matrox compressHD card, than a more expensive 8/12 core machine, with lower clock speed and no budget left for the compress card.
I understand. I'm honestly thinking of purchasing an iMac (after the refresh). I'll add the maximum amount of Ram (or atleast 16GB) and get the best processor from the Apple Website. I think that will be the best option for me. If I become unhappy, I'll sell my iMac or return it within the 30 Day Mark.

I tried searching for this with no luck so I'm sorry if this has been asked and answered in the past.
I finally updated my Macbook Pro to 10.6.7 yesterday and haven't had any issues except for when I close the lid to put the computer to sleep rather than going to sleep after 1-2 seconds, it takes about 30 seconds. I'm not running any different programs than I was with 10.6.6.
Any solutions?

It seems that every winter the Graphic's Labs in the Art building are very cold, especially with G5's. And in the Summer the room is uncomfortably hot.
But that is nothing compared to the fact that the photography darkroom is right above the G5 lab and a few years ago there was a leak from the pips. So, some genius decided to use some pipes and just divert the flow to the outside. You can still see the pipes used. Also, there is a very high pitched, ear ringing, sound emitted from the giant machinery hanging from the ceiling. At times even headphones can't block the noise.

My D2 is noiser than my iMac, but I think it depends on your luck with what manufacturers drive is inside it. I got stuck with a Maxtor sadly :(
However noise aside it's great. Not had experience of the Porsche cases, but I gained the impression that it was just a different case design - so go for the one you like the look of.

I'm pretty excited for this game. Forza 3 did a lot right in my book, and was very fun. With a few tweaks and improvements, this game could be really amazing. I can't wait for E3 to see more of this.

Worked for me, sent to my gmail email address. I didn't use the form, just hard coded the variables on the email script.

Haven't had experience with either kb; I heard mechanical keys are better for typing. Still, if you are looking for a nice keyboard, you could try the Kensington Slimtype. It's nice, and doesn't cost a lot.

Well Soundtrack is being bundled with FCPexpress, which makes more sense to me, since Soundtrack was hardly embraced by the pro community, to the aspersions of Logic and BIAS.

It's probably your email script...
When you have a php form using POST variables like you do (method="post") and your not sure about the form part all you need to do is to put this test code in the page your submitting to in this case contactformprocess.php.

print_r($_POST);
?>
</pre>
<?php exit; ?>
This will print out the POST array showing you all the values that were submitted. That way you know that the form submission is good if you get the expected results and you can then debug the submit to script.
Usually I put in a exit or die statement after the closing </pre> tag to stop the script execution so I can easily see the POST array contents. The <pre> tags aren't needed but they format the array so it's easy to read.

Has this actually been confirmed or is this just a rumor? Everything I hope is that they keep online multiplayer free and access to PSN Store. DOn't really care if they add a small fee to get some extra things, as I don't need them anyway
