ProTools 100 gig in size? I don't think so - don't you mean 100 meg maybe? Also which version of PT? You might want to post this over in the DUC.
I would like to post it in the DUC but i do not know what that is. BUt yes Pro tools LE 8 took up 100 gig's until i deleted it. It included the files for the one project i was working on. Yes i mean 100GB.

I have a 12" Powerbook (1.5GHz) and want to buy an external microphone (mainly for using Skype). Since the Powerbook only has line in, what would you recommend me to buy?

Self portrait taken (somewhat) recently during my time as a Campus Rep. Not only do I love the company and their products, but I spread the Apple love whenever I can! Minor retouching and compositing, etc...

Did you install the Boot Camp drivers (from your OS X install disc)?

This was a great video. If your interested in Leopard (which is a version of OS X BTW), its a must see.
The slides show some of the presentation a little more clearly, but they aren't useful by themselves.

I have a similar problem, as a Brit I have a bunch of Region2 DVD's that I bought in the UK. Now living in Canada, I now have a bunch of Region1 DVD's. Luckily my DVD player can play multi-regions, but my PC/Macs can't.
Assuming he owns the DVD's (legal point) he could rip them so that the region code is removed - Mac The Ripper will do this. Unfortunately it seems that most software requires that the latest DVD drives are set to the correct region code prior to ripping. So best rip the whole lot at one time, before changing the region code again.
Alternatively buy a second DVD-ROM drive and use that for the other region.

I was at CES Jan-2005, for work (Auto OE), and had a meeting with Apple, here are 2 business cards from that.

Have you tried screen sharing? If you don't have that, push the volume buttons and see if they "pop". That would narrow it down to your gfx card.

Some people have reported that re-installing 10.3.8 using the Combo updated from Apple's website rather than the incremental upgrade that you likely did through Software update cured stability problems with 10.3.8.
Worth a shot?
Yes,it does. That solved a lot of my problems, and kernel panics seem to have stoped. Coincidence?

This is what I said to Leekohler last week in another thread (you really didn't searched very well...), he came with the same question:
"Here we go again... In short folding @ home is a project from Stanford University. You can download a small app on you computer and let it do its stuff. What it does is simulating proteines, and let the geniusses at Stanford understand proteines better and why they develop the way it does, like diseases, like cancer and everything in the human body. We are giving the folks at Stanford time on our computers. For every WorkUnit we get points. We are in a team. So we are "battling" each other, but also other teams. Check out the link in my sig for more information or go directly to Stanfords webstite: http://folding.stanford.edu
Now that I explained it to you, you have to donload the app and fold with us. You have to set the app up by

Adding a second card doesn't "take the strain" off the first card, whatever that means
It is possible to "take the strain off" the first card if you are running OpenCL applications. But unless you're a research scientist that probably isn't the case.

I'm going to head there in the morning (if I don't sleep through my alarm) We'll see!
I think I'll get a phone for sure, I'm just unsure of how long it should take. They say it's much easier or existing iPhone users. I hope I'm in and out of there...

ok i stand corrected. According to the tinternet you should be able to shoot it in manual but none of the TTL or iTTL functions will be available so you have to set everything yourself.
On a side note, I just tried this with a 580 EX 2 from a friend on my D7000 and it fired once, then several times not at all and then all of a sudden again for several shots before giving up again.
so your milage may vary with this approach. what DOES work is the wireless triggers which is nice but also there just manual and then only if you have another flash firing.
