even with just your resume up there ... employers will find you.
I had one up there once and even received calls from headhunters.
best of luck to you

Boot up to your install DVD and repair the disk from disk utility there.
You can find the steps to perform here (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1417).
Will I loose any of my data on the HD doing that?

I purchased this laptop March 16... it's been 1.5 months. I know Apple's policy for returns is long over, but I'm beginning to really feel this screen is unacceptable and unusable. Are there any suggestions for solutions to this? Should I even bother pleading my case to Apple for a return?

^ When you do this, it usually asks what OS you want to boot from. Will there be an option to boot from the XP disc or how would it work?
Yes, you will see the OS X partition, the Win 7 partition and the CD. Pick the CD.
You will also have to use Alt to select the Windows XP partition when it wants to reboot during the install.

navigation is absolutely positioned and if need be, the highest z-index. i.e.
css:
body{
position: relative;
}
ul#nav{
width: 100%;
position: absolute;
top:0;
left:0;
z-index: 1000;
}
just make sure that there's no class, id, element that has position relative prior to the navigation or else that absolute position is going to be relative to that element.

Someone posted a screenshot of the banner ads in the Spymac Gallery, and the guy who bought them responded. He basically just did it as a thank you. The self-serve ad system lets you buy 1000 impressions for $10 (or $5 for the small banner below the shoutbox).
Kind of weird, but whatever...

Studios upload to Apple using a custom application Apple provide them. You can read a little about the requirements for iTunes Connect here: https://itunesconnect.apple.com/WebObjects/iTunesConnect.woa/wo/0.0.0.9.7.3.1.1
The labels use iTunes Producer (I think): http://gwhiz.wordpress.com/2008/01/08/itunes-producer-under-the-hood/

You can find the security slot on the back of the iMac.
Kensington (http://eu.kensington.com/kensington/en/gb/sel/334/laptop+locks.aspx) makes many of the locks, they can be found online for significantly cheaper than what the Apple Store or regular retail places will carry them for. Most are priced between 25-40.
This one (http://eu.kensington.com/kensington/en/gb/p/1174/K64615EU/desktop++peripherals+locking+kit.aspx) is intended for desktop use and can also lock peripherals.

For that price it would be a steal. Just make sure everything works and go for it. IMO.

I suggest a good textbook on video and image processing so that you understand the terminology, data types and algorithms that you may need.
Too many people ask for a programming solution without finding out that it's a standard textbook subject or maybe a typical graduate student term project.

Also, if you're with AT&T, they give you the option of making the change to your account immediately or wait until your next billing cycle begins.

So I have had this question for awhile. How do cd producers and tv broadcasters get a universal volume? in other words, how do they make it so whenever you shuffle songs on your ipod or surf channels, you don't ever really need to change the volume from song to song or channel to channel? does that make sense? What standard do they use to do that? for example, whenever i mess around with garage band or something and export it as an audio file into itunes, I get a significant drop in volume compared to other songs. Just kind of curious?

Just something that popped into my head awhile ago, been meaning to post it for awhile...
There are only 10 (now 11) threads here after 6 months after being formed and the last post was almost a month ago, does this section serve any purpose anymore?

Has anybody had the InCrease client is getting stuck at the 100%? It seems to be happening on two of my systems, or the Extreme Overclocking site is acting up. I got 0 points for the last week! :eek:

never had a problem with my white 3gs - 18 months of use
have just installed Power Support anti glare on the white 4 and looks great, you cant even notice its on, where as on the black it gave a grey-ish shadow to the phone when not in use!
+1 I have a Power Support Anti Glare on my white iPhone 4 and it looks great! I can't even tell it's there.

If I recall correctly, that system has 64-bit, 33MHz PCI slots, not PCI-X. I believe the first machine to have PCI-X was the 1.8GHz G5.
Oh! You're correct. PCI!!!

You will have plenty of room, I am not going to waste time waffling, but I think you have the right idea completely, just go for it as mentioned.
Partition the 2nd drive as suggested, use the 190GB for all your production.
I would then keep a time machine of this entire 250gb drive incase anything goes wrong.

Thought people might be interested in the performance of this tech. I just finished my brand new SB i7-2600k build. Here's the complete specs:
Lian Li PC-A05NB case
Intel i7-2600k @ 4.5GHz - Cooler Master Hyper 212+ CPU cooler (temps 30C idle, ~60 load)
AMD HD 6970
MSI P67A-GD55(B3) motherboard
G.Skill 8GB DDR3 1600
Corsair AX850 PSU
500GB WD Caviar Black SATAIII
2x 250GB WD Caviar Black SATAII RAID 0
Samsung Blu Ray Combo Drive
(Don't think I'm too crazy, some of these parts were scavenged from my [rather] old computer)
Now the good stuff, folding performance:
Used the PPD calc here: http://linuxforge.net/bonuscalc2.php
-SMP2
@ 4.4ghz
p6060
TPF: ~2 min 5 sec
PPD: 31026
@ 4.5ghz
p6900 (core a5)
TPF: ~26 min 0 sec
PPD: 46454
-GPU3 (HD 6970, stock speeds)
p5733 (core_11)
TPF: ~2 min 10 sec
PPD: Too loud...
Other benchmarks for fun:
