Apple introduces Android emulator for iPhone, "There's some good apps on Android, now iPhone users can run them on their iPhone, unless they use Flash," says Jobs.

another "accidental" OD of prescription drugs. Hasn't anyone taking prescription drugs learned by now what too much can do? It is a senseless loss, and a great loss for his friends and family.

As of now, I think you're stuck with a powered Express Card USB3 adapter wich should give you close to USB3 speeds. As there are likely few people with external devices with USB3 and not SATA/eSATA wanting to be plugged into computers without a USB3 port, I wonder what the market would be for such an adapter.

My first suggestion is to get a hold of a mini DVI to HDMI adapter and see if that port is affected as well.
If that doesn't work, try booting from your boot disc and or/resetting your PRAM.
Now that I think more about it, I do not even know how valuable resetting the PRAM is anymore these days. It doesn't have the same impact it used to.
I have a Mac Mini mid-2009 model, and I bought a Mini-display port to HDMI adapter to hook it up to my LED TV. I have used it over more than a year with XBMC with no problem.
Now, yesterday I unplugged the Mini-Display to HDMI adapter from my Mini because I needed the adapter for a presentation on my Macbook Pro.
Now when I returned home and plugged everything back as it original was, the HDMI output stopped working! TV says No Signal. I checked with different HDMI inputs on my TV. none worked.
I hook up my Macbook Pro with the cable and it works.. So is my Mac Mini suddenly broken!?

Curious as I am getting ready to sell a 4.2.1 firmware iphone 3gs with 5.15.04 modem firmware. I'm JB & running ultrasn0w(which installed just fine) but i don't know if its unlocked. I don't want to start the auction saying its unlocked if it isn't. I'm going to try a tmobile sim from a prepaid phone tomorrow or find someone with one I can try but does anyone have any experience with this?

You can capture it via Firewire. If your Mac has FW400 you'll need a FW400 6 pion to 4 pin cable.

If your Mac only has FW800 you'll need a FW800 (9 pin) to FW400 (4 pin) cable.

HDV is the same size as DV which is about 13gig/hr.

I think the op meant cases that have built in ones and not screen shield protectors. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I love how there is at least one of these threads created every 2-3 hours. But in this case we have 2 made within 1 minute of each other.

Hi all
Looking to flash an XFX 5870 using 587XZF18_uakari.rom
But all the discussions regarding this seem to be old and I get a feeling that there is some indication that as of 10.6.6 there is no need to actually flash the card and you can simply install it, is this right or wrong?
Thanks

Hi guys,
Recently I've been looking at purchasing a Macbook Pro for iPhone game development. As well as Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop and general browsing. I'm currently stuck between getting a 13" or the 15". The 13" has a 2.7Ghz i7 dual-core with intergrated Intel HD 3000 graphics compared to the 15" which has a 2.0Ghz quad-core, but a 256MB ATI 6490M.
If the dual-core/intergrated graphics is more than sufficient to handle them programs without bottlenecking/crashing, surely the extra .7ghz would make it the better purchase?(Let alone over 500 quid cheaper).
Thanks,
- Toimia

Not sure if this is the correct thread - if not please move, or inform me of the proper thread.
Anyways...when my most recent itunes receipt arrived it had several purchases on there that I did not make - they were mostly for camera and video apps and my ipod does not even have a camera! The only good news is that I only use gift cards to purchase apps - so I have no credit card info on there. I have contacted apple and await their responce.
So:
#1. has anyone heard of this?
#2. Any way to rectify the situation, or find out who made the purchases?
#3. Any suggestions as to how to prevent this from happening again?
thanks,
Art Teacher Man

I understand, but it's frustrating.
I travel to Tokyo often, and I used to enjoy using a 3G rental SIM with my old unlocked iPhone 3G. I was of course able to use all of my contacts and make calls straight from the iPhone back then.
Since I am not going to roam on AT&T in Tokyo, it looks like I will have to rent and use a crappy cell phone while in Tokyo. :(

What? In Canada, iPhones bought directly from Apple are factory unlocked. We do not have AT&T here.
Lucky you, in the US there are no officially unlocked iphones sold anywhere.

They are spot on, whats the state of the Macintosh? Dead? Not one word from Jobs on Macs, None! How many years ago was PowerMac/Macpro designed? How many years of the same old mini case? Mobile device company:rolleyes: Sad indeed when the CEO doesnt mention a Mac once? Pretty ugly when the best they do is a new..................phone weeeeeeeeeeeeee. Computer side is a 2nd class division, a afterthought while Jobs is running after pod, pad and phone holders. Everyone can be hunched over and looking into their little devices hoping to connect to a Net like Jobs was trying:D, what fun! Bring back Enthusiasm for the Mac Apple!

They need F8 set up to "Detect Displays". If I had this functionality, it would make my live much easier.

You can use the PS2, but since it only outputs from component cables you have to buy a (relatively) expensive converter box, like this (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=101&cp_id=10114&cs_id=1011407&p_id=7113&seq=1&format=2).
For the PS3, yes, you just need the appropriate HDMI cable and you should be set.
