Thanks for the replies! I just found it odd for their to be ads in the background like that, which are only visible for a micro-second. I would also never pirate an iOS app and was simply curious if those ads went away after purchasing as they were kind of annoying.

I'm thinking it might also have to do with competitors. They don't want to reveal too much, only to have a competitor make the same feature at the same time or even before it gets officially released.

It's the same problem I was having with .jpgs in Safari/Photoshop. Firefox and IE display the colors as intended:
I never figured out how to solve it - I just used gifs in place of the jpgs.

Thanks for the input! I'd never heard of HomePlug, interesting.
For my present situation, t sounds like basically the whole setup is pretty low grade; I've got a slow external hard drive & wifi is just plain slow to begin with. I might end up getting an additional hard drive for my desktop and using the "sharing" option as suggested. Trying not to spend much money =)

I would break troubleshooting this into two parts:
1. Test that you can remotely execute a command by doing something trivial. Perhaps like this:
java RemoteShellClient 87.120.209.147 50001 "cmd" "echo testfile > testfile.txt"
Assuming that the RemoteShell server is running, has correct permissions to write somewhere, and you know where that somewhere is you should see a testfile.txt created there. If this doesn't work, then you need to check the server config.
2. Locally run the BetInTime.jar file on the server to verifiy it works properly and that the command arguments are correct. From the C:\ prompt on the server:

Well, you've got me after Christmas unless I go to Kenya but I'm pretty busy until then. I doubt I'll be very helpful but I can go through and change all the rumors to rumours. ;)
There seems to be something a bit lacking in the guides though and I can't put my finger on it. I think it might be the integration with the forums but I don't know how this could really be improved. All up they're very impressive so far though. Maybe we just need to start linking to them from threads more or something.
I reckon in time they'll be more than comprehensive enough.

I don't think they will let you have the iPhone 3G S until 8am because that's what it says on Apple website. For 5th avenue store it is different, but for stores in malls are they going to change the mall hours to accommodate lines forming or will people only be allowed in at 8am? My mall doesn't open until later than 8am on Friday, does this mean my Apple Store won't be participating in the 8am opening and will simply open when the mall does?
