Run hardware test.
What monitor/s and how are they connected?
Cheers
Hadn't thought of running a hardware test. Thanks.
I am using an 22" Viewsonic LED connected via MiniDisplay Port/MiniDisplay-DVI adapter.

If you already have two partitions established, you can reformat one without affecting the other. It's like having two separate drives.
Brilliant! thanks for your help :D

Hey guys,
The reason I ask this is because I saw a post saying that the iphone 4 white is Susceptible to limera1n and can be jailbroken, but does this new white version come with any kind of baseband update?
Or is it the same?
I want to jump from my 3GS to the 4 but I rely on ultrasn0w for the unlock!
Thanks
Nope, the only IP4 baseband that can be Ultrasn0w unlocked is the 1.59.00 baseband that came with iOS 4.0 - 4.02. Anything later is still waiting for the unlock.
You have another option however and that is the Gevey and RebelSim.

Unfortunately, the Mac platform is a minority platform and thus lacks developers. Maybe you could pressure the Foobar dev team to making a Mac version on the Foobar forums.
EDIT: Slightly better news; someone has made a version using Wine (a Windows emulator/compatibility layer.) It isn't native and thus may run a little slow, but here you go. (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t77261.html) I'm afraid this is as good as it is getting at the moment. Other than that, I can only suggest you use iTunes, it isn't half as bad as it is on Windows.

Well, that'd definitely be hard to put a price on...
Seeing the prices of current iPods,
Nano- $149
Classic-$249
It'd have to be somewhere in between there, but I'm not sure anyone would find that to be a good deal.

False alarm. It goes away after a few minutes :o So I guess it's not exactly burned-in after all. Just lingers around for a bit like a bad fart.
Wonder what's causing it? Slow refresh or something? It's consistent and replicable too.
If I'm typing a message for a minute and then switch over to the snapshot/eBay page with the gray background, I still see the keyboard outline and anything else that was white.
Slow refresh? Most lcd screen's have a refresh rate of at least 60 hz (60 times a second). In no way is that related to your problem. However, I would take it in the get it looked at if the problem still persists. It sounds like a defective lcd.

Did you find that having external drives slows you down a bit when the MP accesses those drives?
I have a Mac Pro too, and at one time moved my iTunes library to an external disk...Every time I played music or movies, the whole computer would lag for several seconds until the drive "caught up to speed".
That's why I won't use external drives anymore - I just upgraded all my internal drives instead.

Thanks, guess I'll put it on Craigslist for a bit.
Is it an either or situation? I've been around 5 months, but it'll take me 10 years to get 500 posts as I'm more of a lurker.

If the iPhone is using OSX(Leopard?), does that mean macs with two-finger aware trackpads might inherit some form of the multi-touch features like resizing photos by 'pinching'? Like live zooming in Preview by putting both fingers on the trackpad and dragging them apart. That would be cool. :)

No I did'nt run the Disk utility. Dont know how or what to do with it ??
Dont know how too delete the plist file. or what it is????? Sorry.
Last not using any third party screen savers.
Sorry Mac-Helpers but i am new to Mac, so please be patience. Thanks.
I think I solved this screen saver this caper. I think it was the video card. My existing card had 16mb of memory. I took it to work where there is a Mac running Leopard, so i check the video memory on it and it has 32mb and the screen savers work just fine. So i replace that video card with my 16mb card reboot and i cant get the screen savers just like at home. So i try another video card that also has 16 mb of memory and still cant get the screen savers. So i buy a 32 mb video card take it home put it into my Mac and bada bing bada boom now i have screen savers and my Mac and its screen savers appear to be working fine. So is this possible????!!
Anyway to make a long story short if anyone ever encounters this same issues this solution worked for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess this is good news, although it would be nice for the US to get it's priorities straight on gay rights first."Those who can't do, teach." ;)

It appears to power the device plugged in, but it doesn't get recognized.
Check your Apple System Profiler and see what it lists as USB ports/devices.

These wrenches were shipped with the serial interface cards for the Apple ][ to mount the card and fix the plugs.

Sims, I've started googling info and it does look like most apps nowadays require OS X 10.5 or higher. I've been meaning to upgrade anyway, so I will do that and see if the problem still persists....
Thanks

AFAIK you can't engrave refurbs though so OP should think that through.
You can't so this is a moot point for the OP.
