Personally i used greenpois0n to jailbreak my ipod 4g, i havent used any other program though. One advantage of jailbreaking with greenpois0n is that you can have a custom boot logo :D greenpois0n is VERY fast and easy. If you google it, im sure you'll find a good tutorial :P

Yeah, I'm almost certain this will be NTSC-J. Get a cheap Japanese Mario 64 cart to test it with. Or just get Starfox 64 'cos it's awesome, you should at least play through that before you sell it :D
Any chance you can post some pictures of the console itself please? I've seen Korean versions of most consoles, but I'm not sure I've seen their N64.
Edit: That adapter you have is just a simple pin extender to play US games, so I would say this is definitely a Japanese machine inside.

Yeah, its not the best camera, but it does take some decent pics.
It's actually way better than I was expecting.

It could be one of two things.
a) Your screen is bad. Go forth and find a new LP133WX2-TLG*, where * can be any number. LP133WX3-TLA* is also compatible, but brightness control lacks the last step, even though the machine does go to full brightness.
b) The WLED driver on your board is bad. That is a pain in the ass to resolder, and you're likely screwed unless you find someone good at soldering QFN packages.
See here (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=972699)
I like to assume A because you haven't actually opened the bottom up yet, and the problem occurred before you ever went digging into the machine. The WLED driver usually goes bad due to static shock. On the A1226/A1260 machines, you can literally destroy this part if your hand goes over it while the machine is on. No touching even necessary.
It also goes bad if you disconnect the LCD and try to reconnect it with the battery in. The board can't have power going through it when you remove the LVDS cable on a Unibody machine, or there's a very good chance you'll fry the WLED driver. It's all damn sensitive, and the lack of space/slack you get on that LVDS cable doesn't make things any simpler.

Possibly a "Thank You" or "Nice Tip" or "Nice Answer" button for the forum posts.
I've seen this on other forums, and it's nice to give props without adding to the length of a thread.

The question here is:
How many websites can a Mac Mini Server Serve before you start to run into issues?
A little bit more info:
I woud be running a MySql database with a Wordpress Multisite install to host 50 to 100 Blogs Max. I doubt that all of the blogs combined would get more than 15 - 20k hits per day serving up just wordpress sites, no audio/video.
To go with a Standard solution I would be looking at a Xeon W3530 (like a i7 930) with Cpanel and 6GB of Ram. That setup would run around $2000.
My thought was to get one Mac Mini Server for $999 and then I could always add a second if traffic picks up..
Input?

I recently installed Windows 7 with Bootcamp & Parallels too.
One of my Windows applications wants to be installed using the Administrator account.
I assume that when I boot with Bootcamp that I'm in my "user" account.
How do I get to the Admistrator account, & what about a password. Regarding password, I read via a Google search that a blank password will not work.

Can I use this drive to replace the one that just died in my PowerBook G4 1.67, 15" DLSD/HR Aluminum?
http://www.amazon.com/Western-Digital-2-5-Inch-Notebook-WD6400BEVT/dp/B002QAXZZY/ref=sr_1_3
Most of the replacement drives I see are 160Gb except for this one which is 640Gb and only a few dollars more. It sounds too good to be true so I want to be sure it will work in my PowerBook.
Thanks.

I checked to see if the store would let me select the new $299 16GB iPod touch or the new nanos, but according to the "Get a Free iPod" screen,
"iPod models introduced on September 9, 2008 are not eligible for this promotion."
:(
Pointless thread 17...
This happens every year, if they allowed the new iPods to be a part of the promotion, do you think people would go ahead and get them, or would they just wait until the new stock came in?
Right. Isn't one of the main purposes of the back-to-school program to get rid of the old stock??? :eek:
Exactly, and it's a damn good tactic, you sell alot of technically old stock, which is then replaced by new hardware, that all the people who got the back to school promo will probably end up buying in February... Double sale win!

Hello,
I have heard of Objective-C++ and I would like to know if this is possible in Objective-C++. Can I create IBActions that link to buttons and inside these actions I have C++. For example
-(IBAction)buttonClicked:(id)sender{
//Some C++ code
}
Would something like that work. I would like to do this because I physics engine I would like to use requires C++ and I would like to use this engine inside of a nice Cocoa app with all the interface stuff done in Objective-C.
Sincerely,
Blake

Just an idea:
put the windows DVD in the superdrive, boot up and hold ALT.
You will see Mac and the Windows boot drives.
EJECT the windows DVD while in this menu. Put it back in.
Now boot the windows installer.
This worked for me when it gave me BOOT_VOLUME errors.
